In 1990, Rich Vilet commissioned Trish Higgins to create a series of photographs for the opening of Larkspur Restaurant. Her work garnered great interest with every piece selling. Trish seized this opportunity and began curating regular exhibits focusing on the work of local and regional artists. At this time, Trish opened an office in Old Town where she began offering consultation to individual and corporate collectors.
In 1999, Trish Higgins Fine Art opened in the old Domestic Laundry building at 1425 E. Douglas exhibiting the work of regional and national artists. THFA continues today as a placeholder within the Wichita arts community representing artists through “pop-up galleries”. THFA stages arts events and exhibitions throughout the city in donated storefronts, unleased properties and other spaces significant to the Wichita community.
THFA represents artists working in Modern and Contemporary art of every media with an eye for superb quality and craftsmanship. If interested in submitting work for consideration please email images, CV and artist statement to firstname.lastname@example.org
